Stratford-upon-Avon is a fantastic market town in the West Midlands area of England in the U. K. that is enormously well-liked by tourists. As well as the main attractions of Holy Trinity Church, Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, Shakespeare’s Birthplace and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre there are plenty of other attractions to entice you. Those visitor attractions which may be of interest to you include; the Teddy Bear Museum, Stratford Armouries, the Butterfly Farm and Stratford Brass Rubbing Centre.
One of the most prominent features of the town is that it is situated on the banks of the picturesque River Avon. Nothing could be more pleasant than taking a river cruise. As well as the River Avon Stratford-upon-Avon also features another waterway, the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal, which joins the Avon at Stratford.
The town is also perfect for cycling as it has numerous cycle paths including the Stratford Greenway which runs along disused railway tracks. Touring the surrounding rural areas is incredibly enjoyable and a variety of picturesque places to visit, for example Clopton Bridge, are located within an easy distance of the town.
